Tunic + shorts = genius

My five year old daughter often likes to ask me why boys don't wear dresses. And seriously, what can I say? That the poor fellas have been deprived of fashion's kindest wardrobe staple simply because...well, because.

So I say that in the olden days boys got to wear tunics that were pretty much short dresses. But that times have changed and now, unless said male is an androgynous hipster with really skinny legs, all men get to wear are jeans and trousers. Boring.

But every year TL Wood bring out a range of fabulous tunics that make me glad to be a woman . We love how they have teamed this Bryony tunic with shorts. Genius!

Sweet sensations

Blak call this the sweet sensations dress. I can't help think of Kylie when she was dating Michael Hutchence and being all sexy and rebellious. Can't you picture her with her pixie cut and rock-attitude? Sweet indeed.

Floating on a cloud

We at Frisck are very excited to be showcasing the new autumn/winter collection by New Zealand label, Blak. This dress is called 'floating on a cloud' and it is a little heavenly, even if we do say so ourselves.

Idioteque is not longhand for idiot

OMG. I am, like, so embarrassed.

You see, this here is the Idioteque jacket by Secret Squirrel. And seeing as I didn't know what Idioteque meant I googled it, thinking that it was some obscure word I could use to inspire this post. Instead, it is the eighth track on Radiohead's 2000 album Kid A. I am so uncool.

But thank goodness for the internet. Because one of the people who uploaded the Idioteque track onto YouTube goes by the name CommunistNihlist. That so doesn't make sense. Ha! I don't care if that person happens to be a 12 year old who hasn't gotten around to reading Brave New World and 1984 yet. I am not that lame. No. I am not.

Anyway, great jacket. Thank you Secret Squirrel.

Calling all fans of Gorman and Obus. And everybody else. This season's Autumn/Winter collection by Sydney label Strummer is so super cute it's pretty much irresistible. We couldn't decide between the pink and navy floral print so we ordered the pleat blouse and dress in both.
