Cosy warm cardi

Are you freezing yet? Do you feel in need of some cosy, warm TLC? Are you sick of wearing black and grey all winter long? Hell yes!

Kate Sylvester has designed just the cardi to get you through winter all warm and snug. Thick, woolly and super cute, this is the perfect winter piece to pop over a silky dress or with your favourite jeans. We love it!

Lurex sensation

It's freezing outside and it's grey. You've forgotten what the sun looks like and your hair's gone frizzy thanks to the constant drizzle. But you're not depressed. No siree. Not when you're sparkling in this Marnie Skillings lurex tunic. In fact, it's had such a positive effect on your mood, you've vowed to wear lurex everyday, just like Sally/aka Big Red from Bold and the Beautiful. You always knew she was onto something.

Coat of the season

Everyone Melbournian needs a winter coat. But sometimes you just don't feel like wearing the whole knee-length, super-heavy variety. And yet, a cardigan or a simple jacket doesn't always suffice either. TL Wood obviously know us Melbourne ladies, because they have designed the perfect hybrid jacket-coat-cardi piece. I'd wear it on a crisp Autumn day like today with a floaty dress and boots. And maybe tomorrow with jeans and flats? Or with my Strummer leather mini perhaps?

The new Peter Pan

It pains me to admit this, but whenever I think of Peter Pan I picture Michael Jackson on his merry-go-round at the Neverland ranch. At least, I did until I saw this amazing black crochet dress by Stummer and realised it too is called Peter Pan. Now I have a much less disturbing image in my mind whenever I think of young, unaging Peter. Shopping! Fashion! Frocks! Lace! Yippee!

How to: kick your leather-phobia to the curb

Okay, I admit it, I used to be scared of leather. My therapist says my phobia stems from the time I tried on a faux-leather vest in Dotti and looked like an aging rocker. Traumatic, as you can imagine.

Then a year or so ago I started to think, maybe. And now? I say DEFINITELY. This Strummer skirt is cool, but also classic. And very wearable. Also available in black. Don't be scared. I wish I hadn't wasted all those sans-leather years crippled by unnecessary fear and anxiety...

Quite a pair

Black Obus: You know, I think I'm really slimming.
Red Obus: That may be, but you lack passion.
Black Obus: So what? I go with EVERYTHING.
Red Obus: Ha! Red is deceptively neutral.
Black Obus: Well, I love that Obus made me from 100% black merino.
Red Obus: I'm wool too. And I'm so cosy. Take me home. Somebody!
Black Obus: And me! I'm gorgeous.
Red Obus: Want a gin martini?
Black Obus: Sure.

Lucky star

I read somewhere that Madonna feels embarrassed singing some of her greatest hits - Lucky Star, Holiday, Cherish. Personally, I have no trouble whipping them out at karaoke. And with this amazing Starburst pendant by House of Harlow I will be even more confident, more alive, more in tune than ever. Lucky star? Absolutely.
