Mix and match

Ladies and Gentlemen

TL Wood must be commended for bringing us a variety of skirts for Autumn/Winter 2011. This here is the Sycamore skirt, a body con confection guaranteed to flatter an array of derrière. We love it with opaques, some Chie sandals and perhaps a chunky Cable knit.

Such a pretty dress

If you can get past the fact that the models in the picture look about 12, it's kind of hard not to fall in love with this green vine shirt dress by Kate Sylvester. And while fashion media usually a favors the young and the thin, we guarantee this pretty frock looks lovely on women of all ages.

The Joshua dress

Hi everyone. My name is Joshua. It's kind of hard not to like me. I mean, I was created by Bridget and Nicholas from Life with Bird. They have pretty good taste.

My hobbies?

Oh, well. Let's see. First of all, I like flattering women of all body types. And I'm really into draping. I'm also the kind of colour that goes with anything, but not in a boring way. More in a pretty, but not too full-on, way. I guess you could say I like being versatile.

Any questions?

Chanelling Chie

Even when her heels are sky high, Chie Mihara's background as an orthopaedic shoe maker means that her shoes are always as comfy as they are gorgeous. Frisck is the only place in all of Melbourne that you can buy them right now, so pop in and grab yourself a pair before it's too late.

Perfect pants

If you ask me, shopping for pants is even more traumatic than hunting for a decent pair of swimmers. Thank goodness for TL Wood and their wearable tailoring. We love these trousers for autumn/winter. Wear them now with a pretty blouse, then throw on a chunky knit when things get chilly. Too easy.

Little black dress

Those essential wardrobe item articles always talk about the fact that EVERY woman needs a little black dress. Personally, I own at least 5 and am always on the lookout for more. In fact, I could quite happily wear a black dress every single day of the week. And when it's in black lace. Well...

Secret Squirrel have no doubt come up with one of this years best. Who can go past black lace for autumnal afternoon teas and walks through the Botanical Gardens? And the easy breezy pull on style with three quarter length sleeves? Perfection.

Sweet and lovely

Nothing beats a great floral dress and we couldn't wait to show you this one by Sylvester. We have it in the pink floral print Kate calls 'sugar' and it's sweet as can be. Pretty much impossible to resist, really.

Year of the skirt

If you've been into Frisck lately, you'll notice that 2011 is the year of the skirt. And not just any old skirt, but flattering skirts that will not be mistaken for a boob tube when hanging on the rack.

This number by TL Wood is one of the best. If you wanted, you could wear it every single day and still find ways to make it fresh. An autumn/winter staple, that's for sure.
