It's practically impossible to have too many tops and here are some beauties all under $150. Just the thing for the Christmas stocking or for under the tree.
Can't you picture yourself sipping champagne in a field filled with Christmas daisies while wearing this floaty Zimmermann frock? Also perfect for a relaxed summer BBQ or beach cover up.
I must admit that I tire quickly during party season. Why hasn't anyone invented a party that involve a few episodes of Dexter and a nice cup of tea?
However, there is one thing I love about a party - good or bad - and that's the outfits! Catherine Leon has some party-tastic beauties in her current collection and luckily for you we have done the ground work and got them in store quick smart.
Pop in to see some more beautiful examples of Catherine's work.
This is one of those dresses that looks nice on the rack - great fabric, comfortable, lovely rich colour. But when it's on a real life person, it's absolutely amazing.
Don't you love it when that happens instead of the other way around?
You may have already heard that we're going on sale early this year. Which means that this super-pretty Fleur Wood number is now a complete bargain and just the thing to wear on Christmas day.
Stay tuned to this blog for more pre-Christmas specials and some great pressie ideas.
Love these summer boots but broke from having to buy Christmas presents for everyone else?
Then tell your loved one about our Frisck gift vouchers. They're the gift that keeps on giving and a very good way to avoid receiving foot spas, baggy lime green knickers and other unwanted gifts.
I've always loved the idea of a garden party. But sadly, like many inner-city dwellers, I don't have much of a garden. Perhaps I could host a small courtyard party instead. I could still wear this frock, couldn't I?
This season, New Zealand designers, Blak Basics, have been inspired by the 'alluring and feminine' culture of the gypsy.
The allure dress, of course, is part of their current range and it's just so damn pretty. It's hard to see the dainty floral print and floaty fabric in the above image, but this is what it looks like close up:
Sure it's summer, but not everyone wants to wear prints day in day out. Thank goodness for Life With Bird who know how to do structural minimalist without being the least bit boring.
A great party dress. Think New Year's Eve with taste.
It's official. The Christmas party season is about to begin and what better way to celebrate the festive season than donning a new frock (or 2)?
This one is by Something Else, so not only is it a bargain, it's a dress-up or down number that will take you from the beach to cocktails and back again.
Can you believe that Carly Paiker is just 24 years old? We have some pretty stunning examples of her work in store right now, so be sure to pop in and check them out.
Just the thing for the Christmas stocking. Hint, hint...
I'm picturing myself trawling through south-east Asian night markets eating Hawker food and snapping up bargains. I'll be wearing this dress, of course, with some simple sandals and stacks of silver jewelry I've just bought on impulse.
The sad truth is that no, I don't have sunshine. I have rain. But hey, fashion is all about fantasy right? And this Strummer shirt dress enables me to live my dream.
Whew. Is anyone else completely worn out by this Spring racing business? The very thought of Kim Kardashian and her latest body con concoction just tires me out even more. To think she'll be at some racing event on our shores this Saturday. Argh.
So I am rebelling. If this lovely, floaty, periwinkle blue Fleur Wood top is not anti-Kardashian, then I don't know what is. I love it! And I will wear it this Saturday - 30C, blue skies and just me.
I went to Highpoint yesterday. Fashion wise, it was a frightening experience. When is okay to wear hotpants so short and tight that they look like bather bottoms with a crop top that is falling off oneself? I wish I could have shown some of those girls, who were clearly wagging school to show off their outfits, this lace mini. Yes. It is possible to be sexy and stylish at the same time! And no, you don't have to be almost naked to look hot.
Thank God I am no longer a teenager. It is much more fun being a self-righteous and opinionated old person.
Sometimes I worry about my somewhat childish taste in fashion. Bird print. Yippee! Love hearts? Even better! Stars. Yes please!
But you know what, there's a time and place for sophistication in every woman's wardrobe and I love the way Life with Bird do classics without even a hint of yawn-factor. Sure, the model looks kind of scary but I'm sure she's lovely when she smiles.
I apologise for conjuring up memories of those Rainbow Brite dolls that were big in the 80s, but what's not to love about this Zimmermann rainbow frock? I can't wait to throw it on with braided leather sandals on a warm sunny day. Or, you could dress it up for the races if you're so inclined. Fun, versatile and fashion forward.
It's a sad fact that the races get a bit of a bad rap these days. Sure, drunk women walking home holding their shoes at 6pm is not a good look, but it doesn't have to be that way!
Pop into Frisck and you'll see that the races can still be about style and elegance. We have hats and headpieces and shoes and frocks galore that are gorgeous - just as race wear should be. Be inspired.
Sometimes photos don't do me justice. Right now I bet you're thinking, just another pretty summer frock. Sure, I'm that too. But if you could see me in real life I know you'd be pleasantly surprised. For among the pretty spring flowers, cute little bunnies frolic and play.
Fleur Wood frock in store now. Come in and see her for yourself.
A girl can never have too many tops. Especially stripe ones. And we think this TL Wood tee is pick of the bunch this season. So comfy and flattering. A wardrobe staple for years and years.
It's true. Pretty Woman was a regressive social commentary that set feminism back fifty years. But boy was it entertaining. And who could forget that dress?
I loved it then and I love it now. I even loved Richard Gere - he was nowhere near as creepy as that time he played a dying Winona Ryder's old boyfriend in Autumn in New York*.
